Originally from Wales,Teresa began practicing yoga when she moved to Dublin in 2001. She initially took up yoga classes as a means of keeping fit and in an attempt to lead a healthier lifestyle. She was inspired by the holistic school of thought that yoga offered in working towards a healthier body, mind and spirit. After attending various types of yoga classes, Teresa found that it was through the Iyengar method of yoga that she really developed her own practice. She found that the focus on correct alignment and precision the postures encouraged her to take on a more disciplined approach to learning yoga. Teresa holds an Intermediate Junior Level III Teaching Certificate and works closely with Senior Iyengar teachers, Grainne Gilleece and Aisling Guirke. She is also a fully qualified Holistic Massage Therapist (ITEC).
