iYOGA runs 2 Iyengar Yoga teacher training courses ~ At Introductory and at Intermediate levels. Both levels of certification are internationally recognised and follow strict guidelines set by B.K.S. Iyengar himself. Criteria for course entry are set higher than those on many other teacher training courses and course completion and success are guaranteed only after much dedicated practice. Introductory (Levels 1 & 2) Teacher Training :

Course Details

2 year course comprising of:

  • Level I : 90 hours training in year 1 – over 9 (10 hour) weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) (inclusive of Anatomy and Physiology and Yoga Philosophy)
  • Level II : 90 hours training in year 2 – over 9 (10 hour) weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) (plus First Aid Course )

Course Cost is typically approx €1200 per year which is payable in advance in 3 payments per each module block. Final cost will depend on numbers.

Pre-requisites

All prospective students should

  • Be dedicated practitioners of Iyengar Yoga
  • Have studied for a minimum of 3 years continuously with an Iyengar Certified Teacher

Senior Teacher Eileen Cameron runs regular training workshops that focus on the Intermediate Syllabus @ iYOGA

Based on the Intermediate Teaching Syllabus, this course is open to all certified Iyengar teachers who wish to explore their practice and teaching through the Intermediate Junior syllabii. Eileen is one of 2 Teachers in Ireland that are certified to Senior Level 3 – her years of dedicated practice and attention to detail are demonstrated in her wonderful teaching and guidance. Intermediate (Junior & Senior) Teacher Training

Senior Teacher Richard Agar Ward leads Intermediate Teacher training @ iYOGA

Open to all certified Iyengar teachers who are keen to explore their practice more deeply. Based on the Intermediate Teaching Syllabus, those who attend this series are benefiting from the opportunity to explore the asana in a more thorough manner under Richards encouragement and focused by his observation. He links the asana in a very unique way which brings further understanding to ones work.

Bio : Richard is a senior teacher of BKS Iyengar and holds a Senior Intermediate Level 3 Certificate. He attended intensives and other classes with the Iyengars in Pune on many occasions and he travels annually to Pune to study at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute. He travels and teaches widely in the US, Southern America, Europe and beyond and we are fortunate to have him as a visiting teacher in Ireland. He is a Moderator for the Iyengar Yoga Association (UK), an assessor and has been training teachers since 1990 at Bath Iyengar Yoga Studio and at Maida Vale, London.
